Strangely events that happened today seemed to revolved around one issue: mobile phones. On the way to work I had an inspirational chat with a friend about the history of these walkie-talkies. Darn, I didn¡¯t know a coupla years ago Nokia phones were actually a few feet long and banana-shaped! Later got fed up trying to use the multiplayer option via infrared as I tried to challenge my collegue to a game of Snake. Darned fingers keep slipping and blocking the infrared port of my phone. I wonder why the technicians back in Nokia didn¡¯t think of placing the port at the head of the phone? Sheesh. Then later in the afternoon I found out that thanks to a recent promotion by my service provider I was actually given 88 dollars worth of airtime free! Wooo! Also bought some accessories for my precious Nokia. Nice, really.
Darn. The wound on my lip won¡¯t heal and it sure hurts. Also realized I¡¯m having a serious case of black and puffy eyes¡ In fact I look ghastly with them. Double Darn.

Sigh¡ since one of my friends threw me one of those ¡°Was wondering if you had a girlfriend¡± questions last night on ICQ I believe I¡¯ve been suffering from mental instabilities throughout the day. In fact I actually found myself turning green with pangs of pure jealousy whenever I see couples of lovebirds hold each other hands intimately while I was just wandering around aimlessly in a shopping mall later after work. Argh. (No thanks to you Bl@ck~w!tch) Not that I wasn¡¯t attractive, didn¡¯t have any secret admirers or something like that but¡ It¡¯s really hard and really too embarassing to explain. Aaarrgghhh.

Attended one of those road safety courses today. And damned is it boring. If it wasn¡¦t compulsory for those who wanted to apply for a driving licence I wouldn¡¦t even bother paying 80 bucks for it. (And for God¡¦s sake, ain¡¦t it expensive!) Just imagine 50-something bored tired teenagers staring absent-mindedly at a boring rambling lecturer who keeps cracking boring jokes and eventually tries to cram everything about road safety into our minds. Sheesh. But on second thought, it¡¦s one step closer to getting my gruby paws on a brand new driving licence, which entitles me to drive my dad¡¦s car, wherever I want! Now that¡¦s kewl!

Just watched “The Others” featuring Nichole Kidman. And yep, ain’t it a great movie! Great acting, great script, great plot, great twist, not to mention great spooks too! Too bad it wasn’t actually scary enough. The only times that actually jolted me out of my seat was the opening sequence and the ending part. Nice. And for God’s sake, only after 2 hours, you’ll realized,”What the…! I’m misleaded by this movie!” What a superb twist! And yeah, to all those people who haven’t seen the movie, what the heck you’re waiting for? Oh and meanwhile, (Spoiler Alert!) “I see live people…” Go figure yourself :)

I thereby declare today as “What The Heck Is All This Hype About” day. Just bought a computer mag today and innit was this Spiderman movie calendar. You know, that one that’s going to premiere by May this year. And on it’s cover was Spiderman with, for God’s sake, the ugliest looking costume i’ve ever seen. I mean, heck, 3D cables woven all over the skintight suit? What the heck were the producers thinking??
Also managed to get hold for the first time a McDonald’s Oreo McFlurry! And it was… confusion at first bite. For god’s sake, Oliver, what in the name of heck gave you such a idea that such a ridiculous product can be heavenly? Sheesh, i mean, ain’t it just sickeningly-sweet vanilla flavoured ice cream with cookie crumbs in it? Nothing really special about it, that’s what i say.

total hours wasted on waiting for people, events, etc. : approx. 38088 seconds
I can’t believe how much time I’ve wasted on waiting for people today! If time was money I’d probably be bankrupt! Is quite a good thing though that I’m still young, still got plenty of time, can still afford to use time on needless stuff, blah blah blah? You know, that kind of talk people tell you. Hah. I shall now list the various tasks I’ve been wasting time on now. Firstly, in the morning there was that bus ride to work : 15 minutes. Then I find myself reaching the workplace too early and have to wait for somebody to open the shop. Great, there goes 1 hour. Another 1 hour was used up waiting for somebody to actually give me instructions so I can find something to do. Ok, then there’s 4 work hours, which I considered wasted for I hardly felt like I’m doing anything really important and instead just sort of hung around feeling bored. Then there was the 1 1/2 hours waiting for more instructions again from the admins, and another for completing the task. 1/2 hour taken to walk to the bus station, 1 1/2hours on a bus (which made my backside numb and my legs sore due to the lack of blood circulation), and 1/3 hour waitng for my dad to pick me up (actually I could have taken a bus home, but heck, why waste money when someone else would pay for the petrol and not to mention the effort?). Ah well. Perhaps I really should consider the 1 more hour I spend on using my PC and typing this weblog too. Hmm?
Just checked my mobile phone credit account and realised that I’ve actually used up one third of my prepaid credit within, uh, 9 days, when it was supposed to last 60! Gasp! Horrors! I really need to cut down on SMS-ing friends and making irrelevant calls now, for God’s sake, or else my cash reserves would probably dry up before I got my salary and monthly allowance. Sheesh.
