Brought to ye by the guy from MatrixEssays.com... (drumrolls) (insert trumpet and orchestra movie premiere music) (display a lion roaring) (insert sounds of film whirring)

The Matrix: ReSeussed (If “The Matrix: Reloaded” had been written by Dr. Seuss)

(films flickers)

NEO: I am the One and I am free.
The Oracle is fond of me.
I need that dude who makes the key.
MEROVINGIAN: You only dream that you are free,
             Look all around -- causality:
It's in the wine, it's in the steak,
It's in this chocolate cake I bake.
See yonder blonde? She sure looks fine.
One bite of cake, and she'll be mine.
Then in the restroom where we're meeting,
You can guess what she'll be eating.
             So, goodbye.
NEO: But I am free,
And he is not the boss of me!
PERSEPHONE: He is a pig, she is a whore,
I've seen this scene twelve times before.
The tricks he's pulled, the lies he's said --
I'll shoot his werewolf in the head!
             I'll fix him good for being sly;
I'll give you the key maker guy.
             But first, a kiss to seal the deal;
Just make me feel that it's for real.
NEO: This bargain does have some appeal . .
OK, a kiss, and now we're through.
PERSEPHONE: I'm very cute, curvaceous too,
Is that the best that you can do?
It must be true, the things they say --
             The tabloid stories that you're . . .
NEO: Hey!
Let's try again, you are a hottie.
             Here's a kiss that's really naughty.
             (Trinity will hate this night.
She'll bring it up each time we fight.)
PERSEPHONE: Now, that was better, way to go!
I feel a tingle, head to toe.
             Let's have another.
TRINITY: Back off, ho!
Or taste a bullet from my gun.
PERSEPHONE: Too bad you're with her, she's no fun.
Well, come with me, we won't get caught.
I'll let you in my secret spot:
A steamy, dark place down below,
A tunnel deep in my chateau.
MORPHEUS: Could this be symbolism?
TRINITY: No.
PERSEPHONE: Come through this door and take a peek.
This little guy is the locksmith geek.
KEYMAKER: I've got the keys to every lock.
             I jingle-jangle when I walk!
NEO: And can you get me to the Source?
KEYMAKER: I have that key. Of course! Of course!
I'm on your side, just don't take me
             Through airport gate security.

Exams

Posted by jerry Mon, 02 Jun 2003 09:12:00 GMT

3rd of June, DIT201 Discrete Maths, LT6-1, 2-5:10pm

That’s the code for tomorrow maths exams. LT for… er, Lecture Theatre? Me haven’t been to that off-campus building before. Takes a damned half-hour bus trip to get there! Wam-bang smack right in the middle of 2pm lunch hour! Sweaty commuters, and the general sizzling stench of sunburn comes to mind (Jeez how long is it since it last rained? Nah, those rain-seeding efforts are patethic, doesn’t count)... Well, nyways generally i’m not too worried, since things like exams that particularly involve mathematical calculations would just mean another easy A for me, heh. I’m a livin breathin walkin Precision Processor after all. =D But then… this is the one i’m feeling worse and worse about

5th June, DIT15 Comp Sys Engineering, LT6-1, 2-5:10pm

Back to memory lane it is. ’s just like preparing for geography and history and… uh, what ah, moral studies (yeah, the sucker subject) back in secondary school, just as boring as it is mind-boggling, requires good memory (which i lack), requires good understanding (which thankfully i do have), requires lots of writing (which i extremely dislike), and requires a knack for the topic (electronics in this case, which i sorta have… if software counts). But i don’t have one whole year to prepare, backed up with hundreds of hours of tuition teacher consultation plus numerous reference books (ah… sasbadi and pelangi books, nostalgic memories. .=D ) plus a whole gang of similiar-minded pals to brainstorm with ideas and teachings and various stuff. All I have is just, me. ’s a good thing i’m the kind of person who’s built for slugging things out ala Lone Ranger style after all. Sigh.

Oh. And i’ve finally got the da scholarship (no my name not’s in there =D )! Not too much though… $3000 is just 25% of this year’s fees. just because i’ve been slacking too much last year… never studied for maths and IT, so ended up with 0.2 CGPA less than the $6000 mark. Heartache! 0_o”

Slack...wha?

Which OS are You?
Which OS are You?

now. if i knew what the heck is this OS’s about… seriously, i thought i’ve heard it all but then here’s a smiley face cigarette-puffing dudette which name i’ve never thought existed and thats supposed to be extremely far more intelligent among peers (well okay. thats one resemblance grin), though i don’t see any form of said brightmindedness behind that sunny grin. neways, i don’t care… now me mind is clogged full of processor microarchitecture, memory registers, data buses, boolean, bits and bytes and various other crap from comp systems engineering…

after all this slugging if i don’t get a fuhgin High Distinction in the exams am gonna cough blood and then i’ll burn the damned textbook, mix the ashes in water (with lemon tea extract for the extra zesty oomph) and pour it down me throat, like the way Taoist believers drink water with ashes of magical talismans in them. serious.

In 1's and 0's I trust

Posted by jerry Fri, 30 May 2003 12:33:00 GMT

Anyway. Hmm. Weird (say, i didn’t know the correct spelling of this word till a few days ago. flaws in me english!! Horrors!! Neways thanks chooki =D )... my blog won’t load properly. Instead it shows nothing but the title, a <, and then nada. Must be some bug bugging the templates… Probably got it messed at a daring attempt to export the BlogSpot archives via ftp so I can import them into b2, which failed miserably anyway. Why must every other blogging software installation that i’ve tried will either be clogged full of coded critters, refuse to work despite superb on-site user testimonials, is a miserable hack of its peers, is incomplete and has “BETA” in big red bold letters (metaphor speaking of course. I doubt there’d be anybody that’s so graphically-neglected and distasteful), or just plainly suck? Now am seriously converting to the tried-and-true Movable Type, but the daring little challenge sucker in me is nagging for another one with a virtually vertical learning curve… Well-hacked Post-Nuke anybody?

But I digress. Now back to the topic… If you can read this, said “text-won’t show” problem is gone (doh), fixed (doh), or got bored playing stupid little tricks on visitors a long time ago and has finally let the real blog page, ungagged and unbonded, from the closet.

Meanwhile ogle at Chooki’s new Matrix-y layout here!

And… here’s a new Matrix persona quiz, and hey, I am still Morpheus. Things that won’t change huh. =D

You are Morpheus

“You have strong faith in yourself and those around you.
A true leader, you are relentless in your persuit.”

What Matrix Persona Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

Okay. Enough ranting for the day. Now back to reading PDF comp sys engineering slides before I get carried off and fail my exam on thursday miserably.

Wheee~ watch those printer rollers go

Posted by jerry Thu, 29 May 2003 15:56:00 GMT

710 lines and 20 sheets of font-size 10 Courier New hot-piping Java code emblazoned on gleaming white A4 paper fresh from the printer… All binded up and ready to be submitted in 7 hours. From hours killed sitting numbly in front of a computer screen accompanied by flurries of finger-typing and electronic-rodent clicking, to eventually developing a minor-case of carpal tunnel syndrome on the trigger hand, (me half-side of the palm’s been somewhat pain + numb for half a day now) now it’s payback time.

Ahhh… the satisfaction one can get from programming. ‘Tis worse than crack. =D

Looky, no ads!

Posted by jerry Thu, 22 May 2003 15:04:00 GMT

Hey, actually got rid of that Dot TK popup that used to plague website access through www.buggered.tk... Credits to the DistantHost guys again! Next time am gonna become an affiliate and start promoting webhosting propaganda to earn a free domain name or extra webspace or something. When they introduce those plans first that is. =D

Meanwhile, Engineering class at 8am, Maths at 10am, Malaysian studies at 12, and Moral at dunno-what time in the evening, which ends at 6pm. All adds up to a mind-numbing 10 hours of class with half an hour break sometime during noon, which I’ll then catch some lunch (Methinks KFC’s rm3.99 chicken burrito thingy, looks delicious) and attend class with the cranal CPU powered-off in “snooze” mode. I hate the new Friday schedules. >=(

And then, not distant anymore

Posted by jerry Mon, 19 May 2003 09:17:00 GMT

DistantHost.com writes:

“On Saturday evening approximately 23:40 hours Alaskan Time (GMT -8:00) The server began to act very strange and began responding very sluggishly. Upon further inspection it was noted that there was a single website which was taking up approximately 70% of the servers one gig of ram as well as 60% of the central processing unit. This process kept being terminated so that the server would respond a bit evenly, yet it persisted, The server Administrator at the time of the incident took it upon themselves to try and gracefully restart the server. The server then kept dropping from shell, therefore at approximately 12:15 am Sunday morning the System administrator sent in a ticket in regards to this issue to the datacenter asking for a complete system reboot with visual confirmation of full operational standing. The result of this request was astonishing not only to the server administrator but to the owners and a several of the support personages. Whereas it was thought only to be faulty memory in fact was almost a total system corruption, memory was glitched, the hdd was failing and corrupt, however the data center placed the original 120 gig hdd as a slave and the system administrator and Roseanna and Stan went in and tried to recover as much information as possible, though in their efforts they were able to retain the personal mysql’s and some of the clients directories unfortunately before they could finish the downloads the system became unstable to the point the download failed. Components were switched the operating system was reinstalled a third time and cpanel and whm were re-installed as well. To be quite honest we are proud on how fast the server and its new system were brought back online if we had only had about 30 minutes more the entire backup should have been able to have been completed. Therefore Distanthost in it’s beliefs and mission of staying the best will in all events utilize the second hdd it purchased for the server as a system backup and look into the purchase of another hdd for more clients on this server. We thank our clients for their belief in the system and their support during these times. “

Thank god. You go guys! =D

Spammers, haunted houses and various crap

Posted by jerry Sat, 17 May 2003 15:39:00 GMT

I wonder if anybody noticed that I’ve left out the old links to those “who am i”, “faq” and other of those old crap that I used to link to… hehe. Anyway after consulting medula oblongata for approximately 0.58 seconds I’ve decided to add them back in, but of course not without a complete revamp to the new white layout. Meanwhile, version 3.00b still sticks until I get any of those surges of positive energy called enthusiasm running in the back of my head again, and occurences like that are pretty rare so… (Yeah i know its a lame excuse for a, well, excuse) Anyway, bloodied b2 refused to cooperate again! Now more php errors to solve… and I’ve seen people who haven’t experienced neither an itch throughout the installation. Crap.

A quick check mail on Mailwasher reveals 22 emails awaiting download on my TimeNet account, where 18 are from… Fuhg not those imbeciles again. >_< Been unknowingly signed up for some Pakistani Yahoo Group since December something and mass spammed with crappish poems and Islamic urdu stuff and lame Muslim jokes for months now. And seeing your whole 90% of mailbox crammed with these over a day is just one thing that won’t make people happy. And what unhappy people do is unsubscribe. Yeah, should do just that. ‘Tis a wonder why I didn’t think of unsubscribing earlier… Hah.

Meanwhile housemate reports hearing mysterious soft knocking on the apartment’s kitchen backdoor at 1.30am. For the 3rd time. Spooky! 0_o”
