It’s 3am, I just got my work pay (rm670, inclusive of new year ang pow and additional bonus) some 10 hours ago… Aahh… don’t ye just luuurve a fat wallet, all plump, springy and stuffed full of 50 dollar greenbacks, wafting with the pungent reek of freshly-printed cash (I love the word. The “-sh“ part has a nice arrogant and ruthless ring to it) and well-used leather… Just the right stuff to get spirits soaring. The kinda stuff humans obsess over… =)

Meanwhile my phone just rebelliously decided to quit working anymore exactly right after the battery went “bleep-bleep-bleep” and went flat (Thus cutting me off mid-conversation with a pal, darn) in the evening. It refuses to be turned on despite having a confirmedly plugged-in-to-power-source adapter plugged-in, the power button repeatedly stabbed at with the right index finger which nails just manage to reach the seemingly senget and almost dislodged piece of rubber, not to mention deliberately rattled, knocked, dropped (from a height of approximately 10 cm from ground zero), clanked, jiggled, shaked, bonked, clunked, wobbled, tapped and [insert suitable actions] in several desperate attempts to revive the poor machine via the good ol’ “How To Fix That Damned TV“ method, in hope that in the proccess perhaps some IC or wire would actually by pure luck, wobble and fall back in wherever on the circuit board where it was supposed to be (if the whole matter was merely a matter of loose ICs or wires). Efforts proved to be futile, and in the end the piece of dysfunctional chunk of electronic scrap metal still remains as a piece of dysfunctional chunk of electronic scrap metal. Looks like sending it to a phone shop would be necessary… There goes my $$$... =(

Ah well. At least I do have less to worry about how to spend the handful of cash currently in my possession. Optimism at its best huh.

Hate TMnet! Well, in the afternoons anyway

Darn… Frequent tries to TMnet and TIMEnet AND Jaring (using a supposedly, as I would have more preferred to put it, “borrowed“ account, where the internet fees is footed by the government… No don’t ask me how I got it, or what the user name/password combo is i>grin ) at this time of the hour always ends up with super-slow speeds (Ever connected to Internet at a measly 1.8kbps before? I’d be damned… ). It’s the telephone line quality I’d reckon… At times like this, mid-noon, when everybody had just stuffed themselves with white rice and veggies and meat and soup and being bored as they’ve got nothing else better to do on their hands, picked up the phone and called the aunty next door, or that ah pek that sells newspapers in the neighbourhood, or your ol’ pal living just a couple of blocks away, or some distant relative in the remote regions of Pahang or whoever it is that they can go yakkety-yakkety-yakk-ing on for hours… At times like this if you could visualise the electric currents buzzing about in the phone lines it’d be a major traffic congestion problem that’d stretch from Perlis to Singapore end to end… At times like this due to low telephone line quality you could actually hear the noise and electrical distortion if you picked up the phone (No, really. Try it )... At times like this connecting to the internet itself would require skill and lots of luck…

At times like this, I miss my TMnet StreamyX. Sigh.

'Tis the season to be sleepy… But I’m not

Darn. Am getting insomniac due to a teh tarik and roti canai too many at the mamak stall with SilvaKev an hour ago.

1300 hours. Here I am, in my dark bedroom, reeking with Dettol soap, with only my laptop as some form of company. Yet here I sit, staring blankly at the darn Ragnarok Online desktop wallpaper (Which reminds me, when was the last time I changed it? Hmmm… better go hunt for some fresh 'uns online. A StarCraft: Ghost would do), bored out of my wits. Quake III Arena’s getting repetetive when you’ve melted another mindless AI-controlled bot with your BFG (In case you didn’t know, it means “The Big F***ing Gun“) for the gazillionth time, all single player RPG maps on WarCraft 2’s been played (Which reminds me, again, that I really should go hunt for fresh 'uns online already), Age of Mythology refuses to run properly on my crappy laptop (8mb ATI Radeon! I should’ve known better and got one with a 16mb nVidia GeForce!! Damned!!) for at least ten minutes before freezing up and then going down crashing to my Windows XP desktop, there’s hardly a soul on ICQ and Kazaa’s choking on its 56kbps downloads… Sigh… Just another boring Saturday midnight.

Tomorrow morning’s been all charted out mentally in a perfect tidy little chart. Dim sum with parents in Taman Perling for breakfast, burn my 3 gigs of MP3 in CDRs in the afternoon, watch VCDs and more sleep in the evening, shopping at night, then sleep. Such a simple unsophisticated idle life that I lead… Paving the future for longevity huh. =)

Perhaps… perhaps… I should just turn the damned machine off and get some snooze time.

Yeah. Should do just that. Great.

Hah. Apparently Tagboard's down the time I’m writing this, God knows by what excuse. Good thing I’m using Flooble Chatterbox. i>smirk Free stuff can help fatten up that fat lil’ Gucci or Nike or whatever ciplak leather wallet of yours, but as [Insert Name Here]'s Law implies, free stuff are never, ever, ever, ever reliable, unless it’s your own stuff or of your own doing lah of course. Which is why I decide to use a PHP tagboard thingy that I downloaded off the Net ages ago… probably a rip-off of the commercial bigwig. Heh. =) Whaddaheck… It works ('ll work) anyway.

But still, to say is easier than to do it… For starters, I really oughta get drkangel.net revved up first… Hai~
